Aboard the ship, Wendy and the boys were held captive, awaiting to walk the plank. Hook allowed Wendy to give the boys “a mother’s last words to her children.” Firmly she said, “I feel that I have a message to you from your real mothers, and it is this: ‘We hope our sons will die like English gentlemen.” Just as Hook was about to proceed, he was interrupted. It was Peter!
A fierce battle ensued on the deck of the ship, as the Lost Boys clashed with the pirates in a flurry of swords and shouts. Hook, driven by a desperate desire to defeat his eternal foe, engaged Peter in a duel of epic proportions. Yet, despite his cunning and skill, Hook met his ultimate demise when he fell into the waiting jaws of the crocodile, his cries drowned out by the churning sea.
